This Week's Fabulous Writing!

Firstly, a HUGE thank you to Mr. O'Neill and St. Patrick's Class for the lovely mention of our blog in their excellent assembly today! We were all delighted and appreciated the publicity- thank you!

It has been another bumper week for writing at St. Anthony's... but something tells us that next week we be even better! Keep your eyes peeled at school next week for interesting or strange clues about what might be happening...

Early Years

By Francesco, our Writer of the Week! Mrs Meaden told us that Francesco wrote this all on his own and even remembered lots of marvellous full stops! Well done, Francesco!

An Ice Palace Description:
Abruptly, I heard a cry. At first I thought it was a person but then I realised it was really a wolf pack. I felt extremely bewildered.

Suddenly I thought, and realised the wolves were coming for me, so I needed to think quickly and quietly. As they appeared in shady figures, I suddenly felt the breeze changing direction, right into a mighty colossal oak tree.

I rapidly stumbled up the tree and the wolves surrounded me knowing that, that was the last straw. It was as cold as my aunty's ice-cream factory and I felt like just clumsily giving up and saying farewell. I started to unravel and thought about falling into the mass of fur and fangs.
