Today has been an extraordinary day for us at St. Anthony's! When we arrived at school this morning, we discovered lots of tiny doors all around the school! One had appeared in every classroom, as well as the office, the hall, the kitchen and by Mrs Day's office. There was even one in the playground!
Every class received a very important request from Detective Petite, asking us to help him with his investigations. Each class also had a special magnifying glass, as some of the evidence was very small indeed!
Whoever had moved into our school walls over night had left lots of bits and pieces outside the doors for us to look at. We found miniature sweet packets, board games, books and plates of food, amongst other tiny treasures.
All of the children spent some time today exploring and investigating.
Then, we had to do some writing to help Detective Petite with his investigation in whichever way we thought would be most useful. Some of us wrote him letters, some wrote reports, some poems or stories, some children wrote detailed descriptions of what they had seen, or explained their theories for what was happening.
Tomorrow, with Detective Petite's permission, we will share some of these fascinating pieces of writing with you, right here on the writing blog!
